Product information:

Edition 5 of this NORSOK standard has been necessary due to an extensive change in referenced international standards. In addition new annexes have been included. Some corrections and improvements have also been implemented.

This NORSOK standard covers the requirements for fabrication and inspection of offshore steel structures with SMYS < 500 MPa and with a minimum design temperature down to -14 °C.

NOTE 1: Lower minimum design temperatures require project specific evaluations. For special application steels with SMYS up to 690 MPa may be used.

NOTE 2: For highly fatigue utilized structures, more severe requirements may apply, and these will be shown on the design drawings.

NORSOK M-101:2011/A1:2022 Annex H: Execution of bolted connections and Annex I - Calibration test for preloaded bolting assemblies has been drafted as part of the ongoing revision of M-101 and will support NORSOK N-004:2022. The draft can be obtained by contacting petroleum@standard.no. The draft can be approved for publication around 2022-10-01.
